According to Karyn Jarmer, sole proprietor of My Kitchen Witch, "If I can smell it and or taste it, I can prepare it!" After 22 years, this homegrown Jersey Girl is returning to her roots.

Karyn, a native New Jersian, began her illustrious food career, age 15, at Schneider's, which is a family run German-American restaurant in Avon By-The-Sea. Mrs. Schneider taught Karyn the ins and outs of the restaurant business. In 1983 Karyn ventured away from the Jersey Shore and began her career as a manager and chef in New York City. At 18 years of age, she managed the Fulton Street Cafe, located at the South Street Seaport, where she observed food trends and tastes in the public at large. Karyn's innate and artistic ability to create the food people love to eat propelled her to take the jump from manager to chef. Karyn became the sole chef of Turtles, where she developed her now infamous signature taste - healthy home cooked comfort food.

For the past 10 years, Karyn has been the sole proprietor and chef for Bedrock Catering. She has had and maintains an impressive clientele in her New York City based operation. Karyn's signature taste, healthy home cooked comfort food, has catapulted her into notoriety in the TV, music, movie and advertising industries. One of her first major accounts was "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee." She now prepares Regis and Kelly's morning coffee and breakfast, along with their quests (Beyonce, Brittany Spears, Faith Hill, Tom Selleck, Ellen DeGeneres, Rachel Ray, Jennifer Beals, George and Barbara Bush, John Kerry, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman and many others). Word traveled fast about the new caterer in town and before long she was catering "The Rosie O Donnell Show." For two seasons, she fed Rosie and her crew. During her stint with "The Rosie Show," Karyn fed former President Clinton, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, Hillary Clinton,  JLo and Tom Cruise, just to name a few.

In 2004 alone, Karyn provided meals for "The Apprentice Live Finale," "The Olympic Torch Relay" in Times Square, "Survivor's Grand Finale", "America's Next Top Super Model" (and yes, even models can't resist Karyn's food), "Project Runway", "Man Hunt," "How Clean is Your House," "Surprise by Design," "Life and Style," "All My Children," Sony Studios, MTV and Nickelodeon, "The Ricki Lake Show," "The Maury Show," "WABC News" and, of course, she provides home-cooked meals for families and singles on the go.
